No rail routes.

A potential route linking the port of Durrës to Skopje via Elbasan and Kičevo was identified as part of Pan European Corridor VIII in the 1990s and the plan was subsequently adopted by the EU as an extension to its Trans-European network. It would require the construction of 70 km of new line from Kičevo via Struga to the Albanian border near Lin. Feasibility studies have been conducted and both countries have expressed their determination to complete the project although it will require significant investment, however the line is not defined as part of the Core EU Network and would therefore be unlikely to receive any EU funding until at least 2030.
