(Bregenz -) Lochau-Hörbranz ÖBB - Lindau-Reutin DB (- Lindau)

[E] ÖBB and SBB work to Lindau using electric locomotives. No DB electric stock is seen at Lindau because only the line to Bregenz is electrified. A small pool of SBB locomotives, specially-fitted with an ÖBB pantograph as well as the smaller Swiss one, are used on passenger trains between Zürich and Lindau.

(Reutte in Tirol -) Schönbichl ÖBB - Pfronten-Steinach DB

[D] DB operates the service between Pfronten-Steinach and Reutte in Tirol using diesel units. Reutte in Tirol to the border has been electrified, but the 2 km from the border Pfronten-Steinach will not be completed until the end of 2021. The service therefore remains diesel worked.

(Reutte in Tirol -) Ehrwald-Zugspitzbahn ÖBB - Griesen (Oberbay) DB (- Garmisch-Partenkirchen)

[E] DB operates the service between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Reutte in Tirol using electric units.

(Innsbruck -) Scharnitz ÖBB - Mittenwald DB (- Garmisch-Partenkirchen)

[E] ÖBB electric units work to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Wachtl MEGW - Gießenbachklamm MEGW (- Kiefersfelden)

[E] This (former?) private cement works line is 900 mm gauge and is electrified at 1200 V dc. Tourist trains did operate in previous summers. However, the railway did not resume operation in 2017 as it did not pass an official inspection - see current timetable page Wachtl-Bahn Fahrplan. .

Kufstein ÖBB - Kiefersfelden DB (- Rosenheim)

[E] Corridor Trains are worked by ÖBB. These trains use the Rosenheim avoiding line in Germany, together with the entry immediately below. Domestic Austrian tickets are valid on these trains, but break of journey is not permitted in Germany. ÖBB works some trains to München using its own electric locomotives. Meridian operates services to Kufstein with Stadler Flirt EMUs. DB electric locomotives are used on freight to Brenner/Brennero.

Salzburg ÖBB - Freilassing DB (- Rosenheim)

[E] Corridor Trains are worked by ÖBB. These trains use the Rosenheim avoiding line in Germany, together with the entry immediately above. Domestic Austrian tickets are valid on these trains, but break of journey is not permitted in Germany. ÖBB also works two-hourly RJX trains to München using Railjet trainsets with electric locomotives. Meridian operates regional services between Salzburg and München using Stadler Flirt EMUs. ÖBB runs local services between Salzburg and Freilassing as part of the Salzburg S-Bahn network. DB Südostbayernbahn Class 628 DMUs have been used on Freilassing - Salzburg - Braunau am Inn services since they were extended across the border, as the previously used ÖBB Class 5047 units are not cleared to Freilassing.

DB electric locomotives are possibly used on freight to Villach or beyond.

Braunau am Inn ÖBB - Simbach (Inn) DB

[D] ÖBB works to Simbach with diesel railcars.

(Schärding -) Pyret ÖBB - Passau DB

[E] DB ICE trainsets work to Wien Hbf. ÖBB electric locomotives work through to German destinations on Nightjet services. DB electric locomotives work freight trains to Wien Kledering yard.
