On 5 December 2011 a new border station was opened at the new (resited) Stasylos station, 1.3 km north of the former Šalčininkai halt and 5.5 km from the border, but all services to Stasylos were withdrawn on 1 January 2015. One train each way between Grodno/Гродна and Vilnius at weekends only was reintroduced from 6 June 2015, with no advertised stop between Vilnius and the Belarus border, but withdrawn from 14 November.
