Svilengrad BDŽ - Kapıkule TCDD
[E] BDŽ works to Kapıkule. There is one daily night train pair "Istanbul-Sofia Express" working between Sofia and Halkali via this route, cut back from İstanbul in March 2012 owing to engineering work. A cross border service operates in the 2020-2021 timetable according to the timetable pdfs, but may be postponed until later in 2021 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. "Optima tours" operates a summer (April - November) car carrying service between Edirne and Villach. BDŽ commenced a daytime SSuO Plovdiv - Erdine pair on June 1 2019 which ran for just one weekend before being withdrawn!
