Fredrikshavn DSB – Göteborg TRV {train ferry}

Helsingør DSB - Helsingborg TRV {train ferry}

This route has not been used since the opening of the fixed link (see next item), and cannot be brought into use again without infrastructure work.

København DSB - Malmö TRV

[E*] The Øresund fixed link, via a tunnel and a bridge, between Denmark and Sweden opened on 2 July 2000. Electrification is to Danish standards, with the change to Swedish systems at Lernacken, Sweden. Signalling is to Swedish standard extending west to inlcude the Peberholm/Pepparholm island. Dual-frequency electric units work passenger trains and dual-requency locomotives (Hector Rail, Railion Scandinavia) freight trains. DSB operates trains between København and Ystad, connecting there with a ferry to the Danish island of Bornholm. Passengers to/from Bornholm can use DSB domestic tickets, but these are not valid for break of journey in Sweden. These train to not call at Malmö.
