[D] The Berlin - Kostrzyn passenger service has been operated by NEB (Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn) since the 2006/2007 timetable, currently using Polish-built Pesa Link DMUs. Occasionally there are through trains scheduled across this border and in the 2019/2020 timetable there is one Gorzów Wielkopolskie - Berlin Ostkreuz train pair. Any freight is worked by DB to Kostrzyn.

This line will be closed for two years from December 2020 while the bridge over the River Oder/Odra is replaced by a new structure. Trains from Berlin will terminate at Küstrin-Kietz on the German side of the river.

[E*] DB has the responsibility for the cross-border EuroCity services, and they are currently hauled to Rzepin by either DB or hired ČD dual-system electric locomotives or DB Diesel locomotives. Local passenger trains from Poland are hauled by diesel locomotives as PKP do not have any dual voltage electric locomotives. Other passenger trains are hauled by PKP diesel locomotives between Frankfurt (Oder) and Rzepin. PKP works freight to and from Frankfurt Oderbrücke where DB and PKP different voltage electric locomotives are changed.
[E*] DB has the responsibility for the cross-border EuroCity services, but PKP dual voltage Class 370 electrics work through to Berlin. The only local passenger trains from Poland to Frankfurt Oder are now the DB DMUs working through to/from Zielona Gora. PKP works freight to and from Frankfurt Oderbrücke where DB and PKP different voltage electric locomotives are changed.

[D] PKP works all services to Forst. Following withdrawal of the "Wavel" IC service at the December 2014 timetable change, there were just two local terminating services each way. However a weekend "Kulturzug" return working was introduced between Berlin and Wroclaw in the summer of 2016 as Wroclaw was the European city of culture. [E*] Freight only. The east to north curve at Horka reopened after long term closure for rebuilding on 25 November 2016. This is 3kV electrified to Bielawa Dolna and 15kV beyond, with the boundary between the two electrification systems just west of the bridge over the river Neiße, which forms the border. It has been suggested that a passenger service might be introduced but so far it has only seen use by limited diversions of the weekend only Berlin - Wroclaw DMU service.

[D] Through trains to and from Wrocław are worked by PKP to Görlitz; supplemented from 2005 by DB diesel multiple units working a very limited service to Zgorzelec.
[D] In recent years the cross border service has been worked by PKP, mainly by a Jelenia Góra- Lubań Śląski - Zgorzelec - Görlitz service introduced on 12 December 2015, then from December 2019 some DB DMU's were extended to Zgorzelec to connect with the new electric PKP service towards Wrocław as Görlitz DB - Zgorzelec PKP remains unelectrified.

From 1 March 2015 there were no cross border passenger services until a Dresden - Wrocław service worked by DB DMUs was reinstated on 12 December 2015. This was later withdrawn leaving only the above.

DB/PKP freight normally uses other border crossings but any via this route would be worked by PKP diesels to Görlitz.

Owing to its popularity it is now two pairs and continuing.

Horka DB - Bielawa Dolna PKP (- Węgliniec)

[E*] Freight only. The east to north curve at Horka reopened after long term closure for rebuilding on 25 November 2016. This is 3kV electrified to Bielawa Dolna and 15kV beyond, with the boundary between the two electrification systems just west of the bridge over the river Neiße, which forms the border. The main freight artery via Horka High Level reopened in December 2018. It has been suggested that a passenger service might be introduced but so far it has only seen use by limited diversions of the weekend only Berlin - Wroclaw DMU service.

Görlitz DB - Zgorzelec PKP (- Wrocław)

(Görlitz -) Hagenwerder DB - Krzewina Zgorzelecka PKP - Hirschfelde DB (- Zittau)

Between Krzewina Zgorzelecka and Hirschfelde the line crosses the river twice and traverses a 200 m section within Germany.
