Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays there is an additional train from Tallinn to Viljandi and back, departing Tallinn 13:33 and returning 16:19. On the 4th May 2012 the outward train arrived at Viljani at 16:07, passengers for Viljandi got off and passengers for stations to Tallinn got on. The train doors shut and the multiple unit proceeded 300metres further to a low platform in the sidings. The passengers showed no surprise, so presumably this is normal operating practice. After a few minutes the train returned to the same platform, waited time and departed at 16:19 as booked. This train pair is the only one to have a short layover, so if this manouevre is indeed normal practice it only occurs on these three days and on this train pair.  Confirmation would be welcomed.
