Introduction

This list is based on the timetable as at 1 January 2014; timetables on individual lines have different effective dates. Standard abbreviations are explained in General Information.

Obscure services

Viljandi - platform in sidings

(ERA1 114B4, not shown) EE14/1

On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in 2012 an additional middle day train from Tallinn to Viljandi and back continued 300 metres to a servicing platform and returned promptly to form the return service. The service pattern is more complex in 2014 and both of the trains which return from Viljandi could perform this move. The compilers would be pleased to receive any information on what occurs.

Other sparse services

The following lines have few trains (relative to service levels generally in this country) - fewer than three trains each way on at least three days a week - or do not run each weekday:

  • (Tallinn -) Lelle - Pärnu
  • (Tallinn -) Türi - Viljandi
  • (Tallinn -) Tapa - Rakvere - Narva
  • Tartu - Koidula - Piusa
  • Tartu - Valga

Deletions since previous edition

None.
