Northbound departures are at 58 minutes past each even hour from Waren (Müritz) between 08:58 and 20:58, and southbound trains are at 21 minutes past each odd hour from Rostock Hbf from 06:21 until 18:21, plus 20:23 FSX.

This east to south curve is used by trains between the Island of Rügen and the Pasewalk or Neubrandenburg lines, if not booked to call at Stralsund Hbf.  The overnight trains between Malmö and Berlin (see DE18/103) ran this way in 2017, but have reversed at Stralsund Hbf some years.

This branch off the Stralsund – Sassnitz line accesses the train ferry to Trelleborg, Sweden. It is used during the spring and summer by the night train between Malmö and Berlin, which runs more frequently in 2020 than in recent years. Trains run as follows:
 
* Northbound (''D300''): Depart Berlin Hbf 19:00 on 12 April, 3 and 24 May, 14, 16 and 18 June then <b>daily</b> from 22 June - 30 August. Also from Berlin Hbf at 11:00 on 17 May (''D304'')
* Southbound (''D301''): Depart Malmö C 17:00 on 4 and 8 April, 13 and 20 May, 13, 15 and 17 June then <b>daily</b> from 21 June - 29 August;
 
On occasional dates in 2020, reports indicate that the train will run via the ferry to/from Rostock instead of Sassnitz - see DE20/104 below.

This branch off the Stralsund – Sassnitz line accesses the train ferry to Trelleborg, Sweden. It is used during the summer by the night train between Malmö and Berlin, southbound on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and northbound on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.  The train runs between 25 June and 12 August 2018, also 11 April and 24 May from Malmö and 25 April and 27 May from Berlin. Dates are subject to confirmation. Obscure services

Waren (Müritz) (Lalendorf Ost) – Plaaz

This route is normally used by IC and ICE trains between Berlin and Rostock, which are not booked to call at Güstrow. RE5 services run via Güstrow so do not use this route.

From 8 March. a two-hourly IC service operates daily between Dresden Hbf, Berlin Hbf and Rostock Hbf via this route. Northbound departures are at 58 minutes past each even hour from Waren (Müritz) between 08:58 and 20:58, and southbound trains are at 21 minutes past each odd hour from Rostock Hbf from 06:21 until 18:21, plus 20:23 FSX.

Prior to 8 March, the service is still generally two-hourly but with some gaps on certain days.

Additional long-distance IC and ICE services operate over this route, particularly in the summer months.

Stralsund Rügendamm – Wüstenfelde (Abzw Srg)
