Introduction

This list is based on the 2013 timetable, unless otherwise stated. Standard abbreviations are explained in General Information.

Obscure services

None.

Other sparse services

The following lines have few trains (relative to service levels generally) - fewer than four trains each way on at least three days a week - or do not run each weekday.

  • Thessaloniki – Eidomeni – Gevgeli (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia). Following withdrawal of the service a weekly summer-only service was reintroduced by MŽ from 14 July 2012, reportedly running until 30 September 2012. It is not known if this will occur again in 2013.
  • Leianokladi – Stylida
  • Aminthaio – Kozani; it is unclear if services may be restored to this line, at least in part

The following line is closed for engineering work as at February 2013:

  • Kiato – Diakopto – Aghios Vassilios

Deletions since the previous edition

  • Strymon – Kulata (Bulgaria): service withdrawn
  • (Díkaia/Díkea –) Ormenion – Svilengrad (Bulgaria): service withdrawn
  • Pythio – Uzunkopru (Turkey): service withdrawn
  • Argos – Nafplio: line closed
  • Isthmos – Loutraki: it is thought that this line is closed
