The Bologna Cintura runs round the north and east of the city, avoiding Bologna Centrale, with connections to all main lines.  Long-distance trains are occasionally diverted via the Cintura and this is indicated by omission of a usual stop at Bologna Centrale.  No diversions are expected during 2020.
