There are two routes between Paneriai and Valčiūnai, a line used by trains serving Vaidotai staff halts (see the map below) - a direct south curve and a longer north curve, which climbs to cross over the Kaunas main line. Both curves are reversibly signalled. Rail staff confirm that their use is  variable at the signaller's discretion. Services that use these curves are identified in the next entry.
Radviliškis station lies between two marshalling yards, one to the NW and another, larger yard to the SE. Trains from Šiauliai run on the south side of both yards whereas those from the Vilnius direction run on the north side of the yards. The maximum separation of these running lines in the larger yard is over 300 m.

An afternoon service in each direction on the  Vilnius – Stasylos runs via the western part of the Vilnius southern avoiding line as a service to railway staff working at Vaidotai marshalling yard. The southbound service uses the line on the south west side of the yard and  the northbound train the line on the north east side. There are identically named staff halts at Vaidotai KIK, MRC & AIK on each separate line. Calls at these halts are listed as footnotes in the journey planner and appear on the printed timetable sheets available from major stations. See the map above.
