Welcome to the Enthusiast's Guide to Travelling the Railways of Europe

For each country in the Guide, there are three sections:




CORONAVIRUS

Following the Covid-19 related cuts across Europe in 2020, almost all services have now been reinstated and any that have not must now be regarded as permanent cuts. Almost all countries no longer require mask-wearing on public transport; however it still remains compulsory in the city of Wien (Vienna) where masks need to be medical-grade (FFP2).
