Introduction

This list is based on the timetable dated from 10 December 2017 - 24 June 2018, unless otherwise shown. The table numbers given are those from the downloadable PDF timetable. Standard abbreviations are explained in General Information.

Obscure services

Oslo S – Lillestrøm (via Romeriksporten Tunnel)

[L1, L12, L13, L14, R10, R11, 21, 25, 104, 708] (20B1, not shown) NO18/1

Trains running non-stop between Oslo Sentral and Lillestrøm or Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen run via the Romeriksporten Tunnel but trains calling intermediately between Oslo Sentral and Lillestrøm use the Hovedbanen (old main line).

Oslo Lufthaven Gardermoen - Oslo S (via Romeriksporten Tunnel)

[Airport Express 'Flytoget' F1, F2] (1B4, not shown) NO18/2

'Flytoget' Trains running non-stop between and Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen and Oslo Sentral [F1] run via the Romeriksporten Tunnel and join the Gjøvikbanen (southern pair of tracks) to terminate in Spar (Tracks) 14-15 Oslo Sentral. 'Flytoget' trains from Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen calling intermediately at Lillestrøm and running beyond Oslo Sentral through the City Tunnel to Drammen use the Romeriksporten Tunnel but take a single track cut-off branch tunnel from ? Hellerud at its western end to join the Hovedbanen (old main line) northern pair of tracks to access the through tracks in Oslo Sentral (usually Spar 2). However, the return Drammen to Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen 'Flytoget' services use Spar 13, the southerly of the through platforms at Oslo Sentral, and then the same route as the F1 services.

Lysaker – Sandvika

[41, 50, 708, L1, L12, L13, L14] (27A2 - 27B2, not shown) NO18/3

Trains running non-stop between Lysaker and Sandvika can be expected to use the Baerum Tunnel but trains calling intermediately run via the old main line, which reopened on 13 December 2015 after closure caused by engineering work.

Sandvika – Asker

[41, 50, 708, L1, L12, L13, L14] (20B1, 27A2, not shown) NO18/4

Trains running non-stop between Sandvika and Asker can be expected to use the 9.5 km long direct line, mostly in tunnel, but trains calling intermediately run via the old main line.

Dal – Eidsvoll

[L12, L13] (20B2) NO18/5

Trains between Oslo and Eidsvoll run via Oslo Lufthavn Gardermoen (Gardermobanen) except the following, which runs via the Hovedbanen (old main line).

1679 Drammen - 01:27 Dal - Eidsvoll

Roa – Hønefoss

(20A2-20B2) NO17/5

This alternative route for Oslo - Bergen line trains was used by weekend relief trains until June 2006 but now has no regular service. However, it was used by Nordmarka rundt dining excursions from Oslo in 2017 and by engineering diversions.

In 2017 these departed Oslo Sentral at 17:00 on 31 August, 7 and 21 September and 12 October 2017. No return arrival time was given. See the Historiske Togreiser website for details.

The Asker to Drammen line was closed from from Saturday 18 November 2017 to Monday 4 December 2017, so Oslo to Bergen trains (and vice versa) were diverted via Hønefoss to Roa. Similar diversions may be scheduled during a six-week closure of the Lier tunnel (between Asker and Drammen) believed planned for summer 2018.
