===Beograd (Beograd Spoljna) – Beograd Dunav - Pančevački Most ===
[44] (ERA 224B2) RS18/1

The suspension of the Beograd to  Bucureşti Nord international service has removed the only train to travel from Beograd to Beograd Dunav via the Sava riverside line. The international train has not appeared since the 2013-2014 timetable. The section between Beograd Dunav station and the junction at Pančevački Most now sees regular services which can easily be identified. Note that most of the outer suburban '''Beovoz''' trains to or from the Pančevo glavna st. direction that terminate at or start from Pančevački Most use a side platform there, on the single line to Beograd Dunav, labelled ''Dunavski Kolosek'' or ''Dunavski Peron''.

Niš ranžirna is a freight yard to the west of Niš, and is connected to both the Niš - Beograd and Niš - Skopje lines via triangular junctions. Staff trains run from Niš via the east to north curve off the Skopje line, call at the freight yard station at Niš ranžirna (where they wait for 15 minutes and change train number), then run via the south to east curve to Crveni Krst and back to Niš, performing a clockwise loop. Though these trains are clearly intended for members of staff, no objection has been raised to other passengers using them in the past. It was confirmed in October 2017 that the staff trains still run, but are not advertised. Use by passengers has therefore ceased or is unofficial.

===Vršac – Bela Crkva===
[former 43] (ERA 223A5, not shown) RS18/4
This approximately 44 km line has not had a regular passenger service since about 2005. A tourist service operated every weekend from 20 June to the end of August 2015, with a connection to and from Beograd. No trains are believed to have run in 2016 or 2017. The summer 2015 times were as follows:

At the end of 2015 a new cut-off opened north of Paraćin which straightened the line north to Gilje. The southern part of the old main line was retained to serve Ćuprija with a new east to north curve,  west of the station, joining the old line with the northern half of the new deviation. There are therefore two routes between  Paraćin and Gilje.  All local trains and some fast trains run via  Ćuprija. A few fast services use the southern part of the new deviation. Trains which are not booked to call at Ćuprija run the entire length of the new line. Trains booked to call at Ćuprija only use the northern half of the new line. From the December 2017 timetable and during the current timetable all services are booked to call at Ćuprija, so this line has no service.

From Beograd Centar to Rakovica once had a frequent suburban service, but now the only trains shown as taking this line in the journey planner are three train pairs on line 70 starting/finishing from Beograd Centar rather than Beograd Glavna. This will be the only passenger route south from Beograd after the old terminus closes, possibly in 2018.

Revision as of 09:26, 14 February 2019

Introduction

This list is based on the timetable dated from 09 December 2018 to 14 December 2019, unless otherwise stated. Standard abbreviations are explained in General Information.

Map references for each route entry are given in parentheses ( ). References prefixed "ERA" refer to the European Railway Atlas The Balkans, Regional Series 2016, by M.G.Ball.

Obscure services

Beograd Rasp. Dedinje -Beograd Rasp. Karađorđev Park

[54] (ERA 102A5) RS19/1

This line allows trains between Ovča and Resnik to avoid Beograd Centar. It is used by all trains between Ovča and Resnik, apparently until April 2019.

Golubinci - Inđija

[10, 30] (ERA 222B5) RS19/2

This curve connects the Beograd - Šid and Beograd - Novi Sad lines.

To facilitate engineering work between Novi Sad and Stara Pazova, all trains Beograd - Nova Pazova – Novi Sad and vice versa take this curve with reversal at Golubinci. It is also taken by:-

Re4206 Novi Sad – 20:11 Indija – Šid
Re4207 Šid – 18:00 Golubinci – Novi Sad

Niš – Niš ranžirna – Crveni Krst

[91] (ERA 223A1) RS19/3

Niš ranžirna is a freight yard to the west of Niš, and is connected to both the Niš - Beograd and Niš - Skopje lines via triangular junctions. Staff trains run from Niš via the east to north curve off the Skopje line, call at the freight yard station at Niš ranžirna (where they wait for 15 minutes and change train number), then run via the south to east curve to Crveni Krst and back to Niš, performing a clockwise loop. Though these trains are clearly intended for members of staff, no objection has been raised to other passengers using them in the past. It was confirmed in October 2018 that the staff trains still run, but are not advertised. Use by passengers has therefore ceased or is unofficial. The most recent timings available are:

6300/6301 06:40 Niš - Niš ranžirna - Niš
6202/6303 14:40 Niš - Niš ranžirna - Niš
6304/6305 18:40 Niš - Niš ranžirna - Niš

Paraćin - Gilje (Rasputnica Ćuprija)

[70] (ERA 223A2) RS19/4

At the end of 2015 a new cut-off opened north of Paraćin which straightened the line north to Gilje. The southern part of the old main line was retained to serve Ćuprija with a new east to north curve, west of the station, joining the old line with the northern half of the new deviation. There are therefore two routes between Paraćin and Gilje. Trains which are not booked to call at Ćuprija run the entire length of the new line. Trains booked to call at Ćuprija only use the northern half of the new line. From the December 2017 timetable and during the current timetable all services are booked to call at Ćuprija, so this line has no service. Click on the thumbnail for a full size map.

Požega avoiding line: Rasna – Boračko

[50, 73] (ERA 222B2) RS19/5

This is a south to east curve avoiding Požega station. Due to engineering operations on the direct route via Vreoci and Valjevo, this curve was used by diverted overnight trains from Beograd to Bar in 2017. This use has now ended.
