Poland (North (Central)) - Lines with Obscure passenger services Temp
These entries are based on the timetable from 15 December 2019 to 12 December 2020. However, it should be noted it is completely reissued about four times per year with "adjustments" due on 15 March, 14 June, 30 August and 18 October 2020. In addition, there are frequent amendments within timetable periods.

Obscure services: Lines with regular use
[400/405/500] (ERA172B1, B8) PL20/400
There are two routes between Iława station and Działdowo, the Malbork – Warszawa main line diving under the Toruń – Olsztyn line from the north side, plus Line 968, a curve from the south side platform also serving a freight yard. Trackwork means trains to/from Działdowo booked at platform 3 cannot reach the diveunder line so these must use the much rarer line 968. Query the platform arrival/departure sheets for details.
It should be noted that departures from Iława Peron 1 & 2 can also reach Line 968 but the regular non-conflicting route for Malbork - Iława - Działdowo services is the diveunder. Additionally all Olsztyn - Iława - Malbork services use connections at the Olsztyn end of the station to cross to the north side platforms. Click on the thumbnail for a full size map.
Toruń Główny – podg Nieszawka (Suchatówka)

There are two routes: the more northerly via Toruń Towarowy yard climbs over the Bydgoszcz line whereas the alternative passes through Toruń Kluczyki station. Trains calling at Toruń Kluczyki (all PR services) must use the southerly route. TLK services, which have a "<" marker against Toruń Kluczyki, are booked to take the northerly route but in practice may use either.
Lipusz - Bytów
[Line 212] (ERA171C2/C1, B5) PL20/402
For the last few years private operator SKPL has run trains on this 24km branch [PKP Line 212] on Saturdays and Sundays from July to September plus a few other dates. Their website at  reveals that no service ran in 2020.

This is a split station with the junction some way north of the platforms. The very limited direct service to/from Laskowice Pomorskie normally terminates here, meaning the 1km to/from Peron I to the junction is much rarer than through the Bydgoszcz platforms.
Note the physical junction is a diamond slip so trains to/from Peron I and Lipowa Tucholska use slightly different pointwork from those to/from Tuchola. Please consult the Peron sheets for details but as at 8 November 2020 the only use of Peron I is by Os55974 19:21 Czersk - Wierzchucin
Tczew - Rokitki Tczewskie (podg Malinowo) via line 727

There are alternative routes to/from the Chojnice line: the double track main line which runs on a lengthy embankment to fly over the Gdansk lines to the east side platforms of Tczew station, and a single track at ground level (line 727) to the west side. All platforms can be reached by arrivals from line 727 so it is not possible to know what route they take, but departures from platforms 1 & 2 must use line 727. Until 18 March 2020, some Czerk – Wierzchuchin services double ran from Szlachta to Śliwice to reverse so used a connection at the south end of Szlachta station. From then the much reduced limited services all reverse at Szlachta using the more usual connection at the north end.
Gdańsk Osowa - Rębiechowo

The direct Gdynia Główna - Kościerzyna/Kartuzy service via this third side of the triangle is significantly reduced now that most services run via the new line through Gdańsk Port Lotniczy. In 2019/20 this is four northbound [two SSuX] and just one southbound SSuX.

There is a flyover as part of the reinstated junction for the newish services via Gdańsk Port Lotniczy which should be used by the through services from Gdańsk Główny. Note crossovers also allow use of the non-flyover route but any departure or arrival using Peron II is more likely to use the flyover.

The SKM local and main lines take separate routes with Gdynia Stocznia station on an elevated section flying over freight lines leading into the docks.
Gdynia Główny – Rumia via line 202

1. There are running lines on either side of Gdynia Cisowa EMU Depot, two to the east and one to the west as shown on the second diagram. On the west side, the track [designated Line 250) can be used by main line services in both directions. On the east, the two tracks [one also designated 250 and 202) split again with a significant divergence south of the depot (see diagram below, although the divergence starts further south than shown). The operating use of the east side lines is believed to be the track nearest the depot (250) is used by both direction local services, and the furthest east track (202) is used as an alternative main line as it does not have a platform at Gdynia Cisowa. Travellers have reported use of 202 mainly to/from the Hel branch and to note this line continues on the east side of the local lines all the way to Gdynia.
2. If a main line service is on 202 approaching Gdynia Główny, this continues via a drop down connection to be parallel with routes to/from Gdynia Docks to cross under Line 250 between Gdynia Grabówek and Gdynia Glówna and this can also be used for departures onto line 202. These services normally use the higher numbered platforms at Gdynia Glówna but there are crossovers allowing access to line 202 to/from the lower numbered platforms so none can be listed from the Peron sheets.
3. There is alternative route to/from Gdynia Główny higher numbered platforms and line 250 via line 963 to the west side of line 202 which avoids the flyover over line 202. Any reports of use of lines 963 or 202 would be welcomed by the Compilers.
Note the 2020 Table 452 PDF has many services to/from the north and Gdynia with < markers from either Rumia and/or Gdynia Chylonia suggesting use of either alternative route.

Żuławskiej Kolei Dojazdowej

This system worked by the Pomorskie Towarzystwo Miłośników Kolei Żelaznych (PTMKŻ) with three unusual sections of track is a preserved ex PKP narrow gauge line from Nowy Dwor Gdanski to Sztutowo and Prawy Brzeg Wisły. The operating dates in 2020 are 1-3 & 30/31 May, 6/7, 11-14 June, daily June 20 to August 30 and 5/6, 12/13, 19/20 September and 31 October/1 November. Details are on their timetable.
This is a triangular station with platforms on all three sides but the south to east curve to/from Sztutowo was last scheduled in 2017 and that was for the first time since 2013. However the text supporting the 2020 Cmentarz-Komunalny shuttles [see below] implied that its normal service includes through trains from Sztutowo so they may run via the rare south to east curve in October 2021. None were planned in 2020 due to engineering work at Tujsk.
If travelling to/from Sztutowo on either a loco hauled train or a railcar towing trailers it will reverse around a triangle on arrival or departure from Sztutowo as there is no run round loop.
Nowy Dwor Gdanski - Cmentarz-Komunalny
Hourly shuttles appear to run annually SSuO on the last weekend in October. These are the only services running south from Nowy Dwor Gdanski [1.4km] and 2020 details can be found here. Additional Covid restrictions introduced the day before they were due to run on 31st October meant they were cancelled.

Arriva Poland ran two pairs each Saturday and Sunday from 23 June to 1 September 2018 but these were not in the PDFs for 2019 or 2020.

Bydgoszcz Wschód - line 201 - Nowa Wies Wielka - [Inowrocław]

Used if the main line is closed between Bydgoszcz and Nowa Wies Wielka, or, in conjunction with PL20/452, to avoid reversal at Bydgoszcz Glowny. Last scheduled on one night by one train in 2017 and by a Turkol Steam Tour on 12 April 2019.

One diverted Gdynia - Piła train was unusually booked to depart from the "wrong" side of Bydgoszcz Główna, Peron IV Track 11 between 6 - 10 May 2019. It was hoped this may use the Mały Atlas shown 800m long line 745 from the goods yard which curves underneath the Inowrocław main line to line 425, but a local correspondent advises they used a short link just beyond the west end of the platform that leads to the correct departure route.
There is also an opposite facing connection to/from the Inowrocław main line to the west end Piła side platforms which saw use by a passenger service in April 2018. For use of either connection search for through trains from Inowrocław to/from Piła that reverse in Bydgoszcz Główna although there are none scheduled in 2019/20.
