This curve linking the Zagreb/Karlovac and Knin/Split lines east of Ogulin allows fast trains to avoid reversal there.

This curve allows services to run direct from Slovenia towards the Split or Rijeka lines and are new for 2023. Note the limited Summer only RegioJet services are special fares only available from the RegioJet website.

From 20 August to 14 September 2023 inclusive, the HŽ website advises the following trains MAY be diverted between Zagreb Glavni kolodvor and Hrvatski Leskovac on the line towards Karlovac, via Zagreb Borongaj - Zagreb Žitnjak – Zagreb Ranžirni kolodvor (Marshalling Yard) – Zagreb Klara – Hrvatski Leskovac. It is assumed which services/days can be identified by elongated running time in the journey planner but this has not been checked. As per the information published, the HŽ services listed are:-
1153 (Dobova 00:12 – Split 08:10), 1221 (Dobova 05:23 – Rijeka 10:40), 1152 (Split 17:20 – Dobova 01:57) and 1220 (Rijeka 14:55 – Dobova 20:12).
The return Rijeka - Praha RegioJet in HR23/2 above was seen running through Zagreb Glavni kolodvor on 21 August 2023 at 20:31 so these may also be subject to diversion.
Zagreb eastern freight avoider [Zagreb Glavni kolodvor-] Čulinec - Sava Jn - Velika Gorica

On certain dates in November 2023 train IC210 is diverted via Sisak. To avoid reversal at Zagreb Glavni kolodvor it seems LIKELY that the train will be routed via the eastern freight avoider

Other sparse services
The following lines have few trains (relative to service levels generally) - fewer than three trains each way on at least three days a week - or do not run each weekday.
