This list is based on the 2010 timetable, unless otherwise stated. Standard abbreviations are explained in General Information.

Other sparse services

The following lines have few trains (relative to service levels generally) - fewer than four trains each way on at least three days a week - or do not run each weekday.

  • Strymon – Kulata (Bulgaria)
  • (Díkaia/Díkea –) Ormenion – Svilengrad (Bulgaria)
  • Pythio – Uzunkopru (Turkey)
  • Thessaloniki – Eidomeni – Gevgeli (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia)
  • Argos – Nafplio
  • Leianokladi – Stylida
  • Aminthaio – Kozani

The following lines are closed for engineering work as at February 2010:

  • Kiato – Diakopto
  • Tripoli – Zeugolatio. This line will not be regauged
  • Isthmos – Loutraki. It is not clear if this line will be regauged
