This list is based on the timetable in force as at 10 December 2023. Standard abbreviations are explained here.

Obscure services

Please visit Passenger Train Services over Unusual Lines, which lists regular passenger trains over obscure rail routes in Ireland.

Other sparse services

The following lines have a limited service of fewer than three trains a day each way or do not run every day (fuller details from IE website):

Docklands [Dublin] - Broombridge Monday - Friday peak hours only
Ballybrophy - Nenagh - Limerick Two trains each way SuX (plus one Nenagh - Limerick short working M-F); one train each way SuO
Limerick Junction - Waterford Two trains each way SuX
