Most trains between Plovdiv and Skutare (and onwards to Mihajlovo) run via a shorter, easterly route at Plovdiv and call at Trakija. In previous years one train has run to the west and north of Plovdiv via Filipovo, but the train has not run since the start of the 2018/2019 timetable. There is renewed use in 2021-22 with 5 trains daily, all on local services.
Most trains between Plovdiv and Skutare (and onwards to Mihajlovo) run via a shorter, easterly route via Trakija. After a break of several years, some local trains started using the route to the west and north of Plovdiv via Filipovo in the 2021/2022 timetable. The 2022-23 timetable shows the following trains via this route.

This is an alternative route to the main line between Sofia and Pernik, running via Volujak and Razmenna. Prior to an unknown date after December 2013 it ran directly into Pernik station via a now closed north <=> west curve. It now runs via the reinstated north <=> east curve to Pernik-Razpredelitelna, where trains reverse to reach Pernik.
