Obscure services
Kaunas avoiding line: Palemonas (Pamaris) – Garliava (Jiesia)

Used by all services between Vilnius and Kaliningrad-Passazerskiy. Note that Russian trains in transit to and from Kaliningrad are not making any public stops in Lithuania as at December 2021.
Radviliškis

Radviliškis station lies between two marshalling yards, one to the NW and another, larger yard to the SE. Trains from Šiauliai run on the south side of both yards whereas those from the Vilnius direction run on the north side of the yards. The maximum separation of these running lines in the larger yard is over 300 m.
Šiauliai — Šarkiai — Meitene (Latvia) — Jelgava

Ukrainian Railways operated a seasonal train between Kiev/Kyiv and Riga by this route. However, the train was suspended with effect from 15 March 2020, as Latvia cancelled all international travel.
