The service operates on Mondays to Saturdays, with a journey time of 21 minutes.

Trains to BTC City are not shown on departure sheets at Ljubljana station, but are displayed on the main departure indicator. The evening working is for visitors to the casino, cinema and other facilities. It is possible to return direct to the city centre on bus 27, which also serves BTC City.

A west to south curve avoiding Divača. The train pair from Jesenice to Koper and v.v. that used this curve in summer 2011 did not run in the 2011-2012 timetable and does not run in the 2012-2013 timetable.

Other sparse services

The following lines have few trains (relative to service levels generally in this country) - fewer than four trains each way on at least three days a week:

34 Prevalje - Bleiburg (Austria) [2 return journeys SSuX]
61 Hrpelje-Kozina - Rakitovec [2 return journeys SSuX]
72 Prvačina - Ajdovščina [2 return journeys on schooldays only]

At weekends, most lines have a very restricted local service, or none at all. This particularly affects the following lines, which have few or no long-distance trains:

21 Ljubljana - Kamnik Graben
31 Celje - Velenje
32 / 33 Grobelno - Stranje - Imeno / Sveti Rok ob Sotli
34 Maribor - Prevalje
40 / 41 Pragersko - Ormož - Središče / Hodoš
70 Sežana - Nova Gorica
80 Ljubljana - Novo mesto - Metlika
81 Sevnica - Trebnje

Deletions since last edition

The Sežana - Villa Opicina (Italy) line lost its passenger service ( one train pair) at the end of the 2010/2011 timetable, so is no longer a sparse service. The seasonal train which crossed from Rakitovec to Buzet ( Croatia) does not run in the 2012-2013 timetable
