This part of the original rail route from Berlin to Dresden links Falkenberg with the Leipzig – Dresden main line near Riesa. Zabeltitz/Nünchritz (Radebeul Abzw Az) - Radebeul-Naundorf

[500] (72C2) DE17/309

Following the provision of additional tracks, most fast trains between Dresden and Leipzig or Berlin run via Radebeul Ost, whether or not they stop at Dresden-Neustadt. The only train scheduled to run via Cossebaude and to use the line from Radebeul-Naundorf to Radebeul Abzw Az is:

SX EC258 Praha hl n - 20:47 Dresden Hbf - Leipzig Hbf

(59D3-59D4) DE17/310

RB and RE trains between Dresden and Elsterwerda run via Priestewitz and Großenhain Cottbuser Bf. EC/IC trains between Dresden and Berlin normally run direct via the main line, but are diverted via Falkenberg (Elster) during 2017. As a result, there are no trains between Kottewitz and Großenhain Berliner Bf W16.

Dresden-Plauen (Abzw Freital Ost) - Tharandt

[510, 510.3] (72D4-72C4) DE17/310

A single-track goods line runs to the north of the main line, and at lower level, between Freital Ost and Tharandt. At Freital-Hainsberg it is on the far side of the narrow-gauge station and yard from the main line. It is used by all westbound trains not stopping between Dresden Hbf and Tharandt.

Arnsdorf (b Dresden) – Kleinröhrsdorf (Abzw Arnsdorf Nord)

[227] (60B4) DE17/311

These are departures from Arnsdorf at 03:05 1 January only (SBS73891), 05:30 (SBS73851) and 23:36 (SBS73887) and from Kamenz at 03:45 SSuX (SBS73850) and 04:50 SuX (SBS73852).

Werdau (Werdau Bogendreieck, Werdauer Spitz) – Neumark (Sachsen) (Werdau Bogendreieck, Neumarker Spitz)

[544] (132A4) DE17/312

This north to south side of the Werdau triangle is part of the main line from Leipzig to München via Hof, but most trains now run to and from Zwickau.
